Are you looking to take your all aspects of your child's game to the next level? Our intense off-season training program is designed to do just that. Everyone will get personalized training tailored to their skillset. We will have different training groups that will meet the specific needs of each player. The first and last week of the program will have on-ice and off-ice testing, allowing players to track their progress and see significant improvements by the end of the summer. What will be covered in each session:
GLICE
All off-ice sessions will be located at 3 Old Woods Rd, Saddle River NJ. Our training will be tailored to each player's strengths and weaknesses, as well as specific needs that are important for all hockey players. Expect to work on stickhandling, passing, and shooting techniques. We'll also focus on quick decision-making and reaction time drills to improve in game performance. We’ll add in competitions throughout to help our players work on performing under pressure.
WORKOUT
We will have groups within the program for workouts. The group you’re in depends on what you need as a player. We want it be personalized so everyone gets the most out of the training. We will do hockey specific movements that work on power, strength, control, speed and quickness.
MOBILITY
We will do this at the end of each workout. This will help recovery, flexibility and injury prevention.
RECOVERY ROOM
At the end of each session the players will have access to the recovery room which will have a sauna, ice bath, Noramtec boots, Radiate boots, hip compression heating wrap, massage guns, massage balls, and rollers. Recovery is very important to get the most out of your training and to be able to train more.
ON-ICE
Most sessions will be at Sport-O-Rama. We will have some options at Skylands Ice World and Fritz Dietl as well. We'll be focusing on enhancing our skills, hockey sense, and reaction time on the ice. We will improve everyone's technique so they’re more effective in games. Then, we'll move to compete drills that will help the players make quick decisions similar to what they’ll face during the season.
HOCKEY IQ/REACTION TIME
We will study video and discuss smart decisions to make in the video. Then we will go over some video drills that get them making decisions fast.
MINDSET TALK
We will discuss scientific mindset hacks, habits, and how to the most out of their skills. We will start with goal sitting and work on techniques to make sure our players achieve the goals they set. These sessions should help our players work harder, play more confident, and perform better through highs and lows of hockey games and in their everyday life. Most athletes mental state holds them back, it will be the opposite for our players.
HOCKEY PILATES/YOGA
These sessions are to build flexibility, balance and core strength. Repairing and strengthening your body with bodyweight movements is key to having a strong and healthy season.
OTHER SPORT
(Baseball, soccer, tennis, ect). These sessions are fun and to build athletic ability.
